Pass the Cup: Securing the Future of Oshkosh Yacht Club Youth Sailing
A campaign to modernize our youth sailing program.
Goal: Raise $250,000 to replace aging equipment, strengthen coaching, and keep youth sailing safe, fun, and competitive.
Why it matters
Youth sailing is the pipeline for future racers, volunteers, leaders, and lifelong members. For 37 years, our sailing school has introduced hundreds of families to the sport and strengthened our club’s on‑lake performance and reputation.
For more than 150 years, Oshkosh Yacht Club has grown by investing in what comes next. “Pass the Cup” is our next investment—so the next generation can learn, race, and lead.

Modernize the Optimist fleet: sails, spars, rigging, safety gear
Upgrade training equipment: for safer, stronger instruction
Strengthen coaching leadership: by supporting a skilled Sailing Director
Why now
Our last sailing school fundraiser was 15 years ago. Since then, we’ve coached 1,000+ youth sailors in Optimists. The 2026 season is the moment to “Pass the Cup”—so our equipment and staffing match the enthusiasm of our kids.
